SCIENTIFIC VIDEO SHOWCASE

The Organising Committee of TRANSCON 2026, under the aegis of the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion & Immunohaematology (ISBTI), invites submissions of short, high-quality scientific videos to be screened during conference break sessions. These videos should showcase advances in transfusion medicine and allied disciplines, with emphasis on practical applicability, innovation, and future-ready practices. Selected videos will be showcased during conference breaks, providing concise, high-impact scientific engagement for delegates.

Suggested Categories

• Procedures & Techniques – new or optimized transfusion and laboratory practices
• Novel Technologies & Innovations – automation, AI, digital transfusion solutions
• Laboratory Best Practices & Quality – immunohematology, NAT, apheresis, QA/QC
• Clinical Transfusion & Patient Blood Management
• Expert Talks / Practice Pearls / TED Type – concise, evidence-based insights (Any other coming under this broad perpective)
• Voluntary Blood Donation Innovation - novel donor engagement strategies, digital outreach, retention models, behavioural insights, community-driven approaches etc.

Eligibility

Open to clinicians, Transfusion Medicine specialists, laboratory professionals, researchers, faculty, postgraduate students, VBD Professional and anyone involved in Transfusion Medicine and related specialties.

GUIDELINES FOR SCIENTIFIC VIDEO SHOWCASE

Authors are required to save the video using their registration number as the file name and upload it to Google Drive. The corresponding link must be pasted into the designated URL field during video submission.(Note: Please ensure the Google Drive link is set to “Anyone with the link can view” before submitting.)

Video Duration & Format

• Maximum duration: 5 minutes
• Content must be scientific, educational, and non-promotional
• Clear audio-visual quality with appropriate narration or captions is expected

Selection Criteria

Videos will be evaluated based on:

• Scientific relevance and accuracy
• Innovation and practical value
• Clarity of presentation and visual quality
• Educational impact

  Awards

  Best Scientific Videos in selected categories will be formally awarded and recognized during the conference.
