CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Organising committee under the aegis of Indian Society of Blood Transfusion & Immunohematology (ISBTI), is delighted to invite distinguished professionals, academicians, researchers and students to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 51 st Annual National Conference- TRANSCON 2026, being held from 18 ^th-20 ^th September 2026.

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

• Registration for the conference is mandatory for submission of abstracts.
• Abstracts are to be submitted via the Submission Portal.
• Abstract submission via other modes such as e-mail or any offline mode is prohibited.
• The last date for Abstract submission is 30^thJune 2026 at 23.59 hours (IST). Late submissions will not be accepted.
• Use the specified format/template for Abstract submission.
• All Abstract must be submitted through the ONLINE SUBMISSION on the conference website transcon2026.com
• If you have difficulty while submitting the online abstract kindly write to the conference secretariat at mail@transcon2026.com or isbtikerala@gmail.com with the description or snapshot of the error.
• Accepted Abstracts will be presented at 51st Annual National Conference of the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion & Immunohematology TRANSCON 2026 either as podium or as poster presentation as per the reviewers’ consensus decision.
• All Abstracts submitted must comply with the following guidelines to be considered for acceptance.
• Incomplete Abstracts will not be accepted.
• Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be by email only, from the conference secretariat.
• If you decide to withdraw an abstract after submission, please write to the secretariat by 31^st July 2026.
• If you do not receive a confirmation email, you can contact us at above mentioned mails.
• Once you have completed your registration and submitted the abstract you will not be allowed to amend it.

Details

• Presenting author's contact details: Email address, Affiliation with address, and phone number
• Author and co-author's details: Full name, affiliation details: department, institution/hospital, city, state and country.
• Abstract title - limited to 50 words.
• Abstract text- maximum 300 words with abstract content (excluding the Title, and Author/s details).
• Abstract must be submitted in English.
• Font Type: Arial
• Font Size: 12
• Graphics, figures and pictures are not allowed.
• Keywords are not allowed.
• Do not mention the name of the institute or name of authors in the abstract body.
• The scientific method must be sound and results or outcomes should be within the abstract. Plans for work without evidence or results do not usually constitute an adequate abstract.
• The abstract should be an original work; the Organizing Committee shall not be responsible for any conflict arising regarding plagiarism of submission.
• A maximum of three abstracts can be submitted as the Principal/Primary author. Additionally, up to three more abstracts can be submitted as an Associated author.
• 51 st TRANSCON 2026 shall not be responsible for errors in the abstract submission. It is important that you read your text to ensure accuracy with no spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. No corrections will be accepted after the abstract submission deadline and the abstract will be published exactly as submitted.
• The scientific committee reserves the right to accept / reject / assign presentation type to the abstract however the submitter may register the presentation preference on portal.
• Notification regarding acceptance of the submission along with the guidelines for presentation will be sent to the corresponding author’s e-mail.

ABSTRACT REVIEW, SELECTION AND PUBLICATION

• A panel of reviewers (subject experts) will review the abstracts. An abstract may be selected for an oral or poster presentation depending on the reviewers’ consensus decision.
• The first author will receive a confirmation of acceptance for Podium or, poster presentation, or a notice of rejection, by e-mail by 31^st July 2026.
• The presenting author may be different from the first author provided her/his name is in italics and underlined and clearly communicated by the first author in e-mail. The presenting author also has to register for the conference.
• Oral presenters will be informed about the selection. The date and time of the session and presentation guidelines will be provided. Poster presenters will be informed about the date and time of the poster session and will receive guidelines for their presentation. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Asian Journal of Transfusion Science.
• It is very important for Poster authors to indicate if they are unable to attend the conference to prevent empty Poster panels.
